West Jasper Place is a popular neighbourhood in the west end of the city of Edmonton. This neighbourhood was originally part of the town of Jasper Place, and joined the city when Edmonton and Jasper Place amalgamated in 1964.West Jasper Place is bordered by 149 Street, 95 Avenue, 156 Street and Stony Plain Road.

Primarily a residential neighbourhood, there is some commercial development along Stony Plain Road in the north end of the community. This does include the Jasper Gates Shopping Center where you can easily get your shopping done.

The Edmonton Public School System operates one school in the neighbourhood: Sherwood Elementary School. In addition the Centre for the Arts and Communication Campus of MacEwan University is located in this neighbourhood. 

To help you take advantage of the great outdoors and to let your kids blow off some steam, be sure to visit Arthur Elliot Park and the nearby bike trails in the McKinnon Ravine are located in nearby Crestwood. Using these bike trails you can easily access the city of Edmonton's extensive river valley park system.
