This bustling neighbourhood joined the city of Edmonton when the town of Jasper Place joined the city in 1964. This neigbhourhood is bordered by 149 Street (renamed to Lynnwood Way), Whitemud Drive, 159 Street and 87 Avenue.

For those of you with children there are two elementary schools in the neighbourhood: Lynnwood Elementary School is operated by the Edmonton Public School board and Our Lady of Victories Catholic Elementary School is operate by the Edmonton Catholic School System. For high school aged students, there are nearby junior high schools and high schools in neighbouring areas.

For relaxation and recreation opportunities, residents of Lynnwood need to look no further than Lynnwood Park and the Lynnwood Athletic Field. Both offer lots of green space with ample room to stretch your legs and enjoy a Sunday afternoon picnic.  For dog walkers and nature lovers, this neighbourhood is known for the ravine located behind the Lynnwood Elementary School. 

As you can see, Lynnwood really does have it all. Shopping, schools, easy access to universities, and outdoor recreation opportunities really make this the perfect neighbourhood for anyone. When visiting Lynnwood be sure to visit the nearby neighbourhoods of Meadowlark Park, Elmwood, Pacific Heights, Jasper Place, and Laurier Heights.
